On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in the framework of the campaign promoted by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Italy presents a contemporary art exhibition at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, for which important works by sixteen Italian artists of different generations were selected, which can implicitly be evocative of issues related to human rights: Stefano Arienti, Rossella Biscotti, Monica Bonvicini, Danilo Correale, Binta Diaw, Irene Dioniso, Victor Fotso Nyie, Silvia Giambrone, Emilio Isgrò, Mimmo Jodice, Elena Mazzi, Francis Offman, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Rä di Martino, Silvia Rosi, Marinella Senatore.

This volume intends to make a further contribution to the reflection on the theme of the profound and everlasting relationship between art and the reality that surrounds us, investigating the intrinsic potential of the creative act to impact society, addressing issues relating to human rights, starting from fight against all forms of violence and discrimination.
